Response of Ecohydrological Variables to Meteorological Drought under Climate Change

Drought is the most widespread climatic extreme that has negative impacts on ecohydrology. Studies have shown drought can cause certain degrees of disturbances to different ecohydrological variables, but duration and severity thresholds are sufficient changes in variables remain largely unknown. At same time, we should not ignore dynamic variation drought’s effect under condition climate change. Here, derived several response a historical period (1982–2015), including evapotranspiration (ET), soil moisture (SM), vapor pressure deficit (VPD) normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), projected occurrence probability’s change trend events future The results show impact dependent indicators. ET NDVI were expected decrease parts world due increases radiation (RAD) temperature (TEMP) decreases precipitation (PRE) during periods. SM decreased regions (93.47%) period, while VPD increased 85.41% globe. for area did differ significantly (especially ET, VPD).
